Things Kids Say

I have not had a post about funny things the kids have said in a while so here are a few!

Will:

• "Grandpa when is the baby going to come out of your tummy?" - not going to say which Grandpa he was refering too but it was the one we spent Thanksgiving with...
• Mommy is going to have a "super fun sleepover" - refering to a night I spent away for work.

Madelyn:

• Singing home on the range: "Home Home on Range, daddy dear dad.  Deer Deer Will Will Range."
• Madelyn what is your horses name. "Will" - this name has stuck...

Happy Thanksgiving

We have a lot to be thankful for:

• Our kids who are healthy and happy.
• Our home.
• Our jobs.
• Our families.
• Etc. Etc.

While Chris was gone to Sweden the kids and I made a turkey pinata for Thanksgiving.  I have to say paper mache and a one and half year old and a three and a half year old was a challenge but we had fun.  Here is the finished product.

I asked the kids things that make them happy (things they are thankful for) and we put them on papers inside the pinata, here is what they said:

• My Sister (first thing Will said)
• My Cousins (Will)
• My Daddy (Will and Madelyn)
• My Mommy (Will and Madelyn)
• Will (Madelyn)
• Ambulances (Will)
• My new big boy bike (Will)
• Fire trucks and my fire fighter axe (Will)
• My Blankey (Madelyn)

Into to Thanksgiving Weekend

To say we have been busy lately is an under statement.  Instead of trying to explain I will say we are excited for a great Thanksgiving weekend together as a family. 

A couple weeks a go a good friend of our Aaron took some picture of us, enjoy the pictures and hopefully this weekend I will have a chance to update the blog a bit more.

October First

Today is October 1st and it is the first time on the way to work this fall that there was still some  frost on the grass.  How cool it that? I mean some years by August we having frost every night!

Shows you what a great fall we have been having, beautiful weather and very little rain.  Although I am thinking a bit of rain sometime soon would be welcomed, just to get some ground moisture for Spring.

The leaves are falling like crazy here, time to break out the rakes and jump in leaves, maybe this weekend....

Weekend Pictures

Not much to say except the kids and I had a great weekend.  Sure glad Daddy left the note about being good, Will seems to have taken it to heart.

I am not sure what they were doing, I just know they were in on Will's bed playing and I was not allowed. Until Will comes running out saying "Mommy come quick Maddie bonked her head" I get there and she is sitting on the bed laughing....

And then we ended the weekend having meatballs for supper because that's what Daddy would be eating in Sweden and then going swimming, sorry no pictures there, trying to keep both kids above the water kept me busy enough.
