Record Snowfall

That's right ladies and gentlemen it is official we have set a record for snowfall in Regina at 196.1cm of snowfall so far this winter! That is over 6 and 1/2 feet!  The previous record was set in 1955-1956 with 194.6cm.   With more snow in the forecast for later this week.

Snow pile in the backyard.  You can use the play structure as a reference for how tall it is piled.  Don't forget this snow is compact as it has been piled up and melted and piled up again.  You can also see the the pile goes about halfway back into the yard probably about 20 to 25 feet long.

Another view from the kitchen window.
All I can say is I hope the snow melts slowly although since it is March 19th, I would think that this may be a quick melt, hopefully with no flooding!
