Easter Bunny Bread

What could be more fun then attempting to make Easter Bunny bread.

Mixing up bread dough

Helpers

How big of a mess can I make?

Yup pretty big....
Helping roll out eyes

helping put everything together

Cutting

Our finished bunny or panda bear with pink ears bread....

I am guessing next time it would turn out a bit better, but use your imagination.

Loaf 2! Or perhaps a bit less help would have made it easier too. But that is part of the fun.

Peek-a-boo Easter Craft

I am not too sure who had more fun making this craft the kids or me!

Basically the kids coloured an Easter Bunny and Easter Egg. Then we glued them to a popsicle stick. I put glue on and they stuck them on.

In the meantime I cut a paper plate in half, then they coloured the paper plates and I stapled the plates together putting the popsicle stick in one of the gaps.

Tad-da! Push the stick up to see the bunny or egg and pull it down and it hides.

Record Snowfall

That's right ladies and gentlemen it is official we have set a record for snowfall in Regina at 196.1cm of snowfall so far this winter! That is over 6 and 1/2 feet!  The previous record was set in 1955-1956 with 194.6cm.   With more snow in the forecast for later this week.

Snow pile in the backyard.  You can use the play structure as a reference for how tall it is piled.  Don't forget this snow is compact as it has been piled up and melted and piled up again.  You can also see the the pile goes about halfway back into the yard probably about 20 to 25 feet long.

Another view from the kitchen window.
All I can say is I hope the snow melts slowly although since it is March 19th, I would think that this may be a quick melt, hopefully with no flooding!

Gallagher Centre

Last Friday we took the kids to Yorkton to the Gallagher Centre to go swimming.  Both love the water and you can see it was a great time!

Water slide, only downside was you could not go with kids on the slide, this was fine with Will but the slide was way to fast for Madelyn, we did not even let her try it alone, I am sure she would have flipped over and hurt herself. Not  that she did not want to try.

He is in the splash

Ready to go again.

Loving the water, Chris trying to keep Madelyn from going under

Chop, chop timber

Under the water, I am sure he spent more time under the water than above

Will, doing backwards somersaults under the water.
